Vineville Spotlight on The Thomason family
Which worship service and Sunday school class do you attend? We typically attend the 9 am service.
How long have you been a member of the church? We joined as a family in 2003. Cole has attended off and on since his youth.
What are some things your family likes to do together and what are your hobbies? We enjoy family travel/vacations and attending numerous sporting events for each child. I like golfing and Andrea likes shopping and
exercising.
Tell us a little about your family. Cole, Sr. – 49 yrs. old, software sales; Andrea – 43 yrs. old, teacher at North Macon Presbyterian Pre-school; Cole, Jr. – 20 yrs. old, Sophomore at Ga. Southern; Ella – 16 yrs. old, 11th grade at Howard; Kate – 9 yrs. old, 3rd grade at ACE; Mimi – 6 yrs. old, Kindergarten at ACE
What’s the best vacation you’ve been on? Andrea and I went to St. Lucia for our honeymoon which was wonderful. Other than that, we enjoy going to Charleston for family vacations.
What attracted you to Vineville or what is your favorite thing about Vineville? The comfort of
knowing so many members as well as the wonderful children’s ministry attracts and keeps us at VUMC. Andrea was Episcopalian, so we visited St. Paul’s when we got married and then chose VUMC. The new leadership has also been a very good item in terms of our happiness with the church.
Do you have any good family traditions? We try very hard to sit down and have at least one meal together as a family.
What do you do for a living? I sell human resource software for PeopleStrategy, Inc. out of Atlanta. Andrea is a teacher at North Macon Presbyterian pre-school. With 4 kids (3 girls), retirement is not an option!
If you could choose anything to do for a day, what would it be? I would like to be a professional athlete in the super bowl.
What are a few of your favorite books and/or movies? I cannot lie down to read without falling asleep. We don’t get to go to many movies and mostly watch kid’s movies at home, so nothing to report there!
