This week we shine the spotlight on the Hall family:

Travis, Ivey, Jon Emory (7), Siler (5), and Isabel (1)

Which worship service and Sunday school class do you attend?  The 9:00 service and the Greene Class.

How long have you been a member of the church?
We have been members for 12 years.

What are some things your family likes to do together?
We try to do a lot of things together as a family knowing that very soon our kids will be going in different directions all the time. One of our favorite things is a weekly movie night at home.

Tell us a little about your family. We spend a lot of time at the VineIngle Field in the spring watching Jon Emory play baseball. Siler has just started ballet at Dance Arts this year, and Isabel is focused on learning to walk and talk. We also love visiting grandparents in Tallahassee and Bainbridge and cheering on the Seminoles in the fall.

What’s the best vacation you’ve been on? Seattle and British Columbia in 2015

What attracted you to Vineville or what is your favorite thing about Vineville? We were
introduced to Vineville by Carolyn Marbut, who was also our realtor, when we moved to Macon. We walked in the sanctuary for the first time and it looked and felt just like the church we left in Tallahassee. We immediately felt at home. One of our favorite things about Vineville is the
feeling of a “church family.” We don’t have any family in town so knowing that we have a strong church family means so much to us. We love knowing that our kids will grow up surrounded by so many loving “family” members.

Do you have any good family traditions? We spend most of our holidays on the road visiting family, but after Jon Emory was born we told everyone that Easter was our Macon holiday. We enjoy having family come spend the weekend with us, having the chance to introduce them to our Vineville family at the Liipfert’s egg hunt and going to church on Easter morning. It is
special to our family to be able to spend Easter in Macon.

What do you do for a living? Travis is a partner with Chambless, Higdon, Richardson, Katz and Griggs. Ivey is the Executive Director for Macon Area Habitat for Humanity. Jon Emory and Siler
attend Springdale Elementary School and Isabel attends the Children’s Center at Mulberry.

If you could choose anything to do for a day, what would it be? Spend the day out and about as a family enjoying a park, a football game, or a family picnic.

What are a few of your favorite books and/or movies? Right now, the family’s favorite movie is Sing! . It runs on repeat in our house.  As for books, during the last month or so our family has been enjoying reading Summer of the Monkeys by Wilson Rawls before bedtime.
